Who we are
At Sovereignty Digital, we bring together a powerhouse of experience and expertise to empower creators with industry-leading music rights management, royalty collection, and intellectual property protection. Our co-founders, David Pellum II and Mike Norris, have each built impressive careers that span across different areas of the music and entertainment industries, making Sovereignty Digital a trusted partner for artists looking to protect and monetize their work.
David Pellum II has represented major projects, including Drake’s “Energy” and Beyoncé’s Homecoming, and has earned BMI Awards for his contributions to the industry. His deep knowledge of royalty management and intellectual property rights has allowed him to advocate for creators, particularly in the Black community, ensuring their work is protected, credited, and compensated fairly. David's leadership has driven initiatives like the TikTok movement for proper recognition of Black creators and helped establish innovative copyright solutions in the digital age.
Mike Norris, with a rich background as a production assistant for Kanye West and Drake, and as the former Live Entertainment Director at Georgia State University, has been instrumental in closing multi-million-dollar deals, including brokering major music catalog sales and co-publishing agreements. His leadership has shaped the careers of platinum-selling and Grammy-winning artists. Mike’s strategic approach to rights management, combined with his extensive experience in artist development and entertainment law, has positioned Sovereignty Digital as a leader in the industry.
Together, David and Mike have built Sovereignty Digital to help creators thrive. With a focus on innovation and artist empowerment, we provide artists with the tools and expertise to succeed in the fast-changing digital landscape. Whether you are an emerging artist or an established figure in the music world, Sovereignty Digital is dedicated to ensuring your creativity is supported, protected, and monetized at every step.
